Helpful Tips for Keeping In Shape When Trying to Stay Hot on the Dating Scene During the Colder Months
With the holidays right around the corner, and swimsuit season quickly fading away, it can be hard to keep up the motivation to stay in shape. Between the cold weather and the endless parties, events, happy hours, and dinners, it can be easy to gain a little extra weight or lose some of the definition you gained during the summer months. However, when you are single and actively dating, it is important to keep up with your appearance and stay in shape while looking for a partner. To be honest, it is important to stay in shape no matter what your relationship status is. No one wants a boyfriend or girlfriend who is going to let themselves go as soon as they start to feel comfortable. Regardless, your appearance is often the first impression people get of you, so you want to make it a good one if you are looking to attract a partner. Being a single lady myself, I have a few tricks I use to make sure my diet and exercise routine don’t take a nose dive the minute I start to wear baggy sweaters and boots.
Find Your Ideal Work Out
Even though what you eat is a huge part of how your body is going to appear, working out is also an important part of keeping in shape. Not only is working out good for your body, it can be good for your mind as well. Most active sports or routines cause a rush of feel good endorphins to be released into your body flooding you with feelings of happiness. In most places, the upcoming winter season means not having access to some of the great outdoors spaces you might normally spend your time being active at. Even though you can still hike in some places, there are states where winter means not even being able to take a walk outside without a painful burst of cold air hitting your face. This is when I recommend getting a membership somewhere like 24 Hour Fitness. Having a great gym to go to can create a nice routine. The best part about somewhere like this is you may have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different types of workouts. Fitness Centers will usually have open studios to host workout classes ranging from Zumba to Pilates, as well as floor machines, cardio equipment, private trainers, and more.
Make Your Lunches at Home
When you stop spending your lunch hour standing in line at the local deli, you save yourself time, money, and usually some calories along the way. Preparing your food for the week and packaging it in an easy grab on the go way will allow you to make healthier choices. Whenever I leave for lunch I am always so hungry that I make poor choices when it comes to the types of food I eat because of convenience or out of control cravings. If you prepare your lunch when you are not hungry, it will give you a better opportunity to make healthier choices that are still tasty.
